Yantai, August 29, 2024 — The Europe Today: In a notable advancement for China’s space program, the country successfully launched a CERES-1 carrier rocket from waters near Shandong Province on Thursday, August 29, 2024. The commercial launch occurred at precisely 1:22 p.m. Beijing Time.
The mission marked the 15th flight for the CERES-1 rocket series. The rocket carried a payload of six satellites, including the Yunyao-1 satellites numbered 15, 16, and 17, alongside three additional satellites. This offshore launch was orchestrated by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
