Islamabad, October 01, 2024 – The Europe Today: On the occasion of China’s 75th National Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and the people of China. The day, celebrated annually on October 1, marks the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which was proclaimed by Mao Zedong in 1949.
In a message shared on his X timeline, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s pride in China’s remarkable progress and achievements under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping. He reaffirmed the strong bond between the two nations, referring to Pakistan and China as “iron brothers” and highlighting the growth of their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The prime minister emphasized the commitment of both nations to the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project under China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which continues to strengthen ties between the two countries. He further pledged Pakistan’s ongoing dedication to working closely with China to enhance bilateral relations across all sectors and to promote regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
