Chengdu, December 02, 2024 – The Europe Today: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with Zhang Jianming, Chairman of the Minyoun Group, during his visit to Chengdu. The discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in the tourism and hospitality sectors, which are emerging as pivotal drivers of Uzbekistan’s economic growth.
Highlighting the sector’s rapid expansion, Minister Saidov remarked, “Tourism and hospitality are among the most dynamically developing sectors in Uzbekistan. We see a multifold increase in visitors from across the world.”
The talks explored avenues to leverage Uzbekistan’s untapped potential by fostering collaboration with the Minyoun Group, a prominent Chinese entity specializing in luxury hotels and tourism infrastructure. The Uzbek Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of creating state-of-the-art infrastructure to provide world-class services to international tourists.
“Our dialogue with Chairman Zhang Jianming focused on crafting the most comfortable and advanced infrastructure to support this burgeoning industry,” Saidov noted.
This meeting is part of Uzbekistan’s broader strategy to strengthen international partnerships and attract investments to boost its tourism industry, aligning with the nation’s commitment to becoming a premier global travel destination.
