Jakarta, October 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Ministry of Creative Economy has underscored the critical role of cybersecurity and safe digital spaces in accelerating the growth of Indonesia’s creative economy.

In support of this vision, the ministry announced its backing for the National Cybersecurity Connect (NCC) 2025, which will take place on October 29–30 in Jakarta.

According to the ministry’s press release received on Friday, the national cybersecurity collaboration forum is jointly initiated by the National ICT Entrepreneurs Association (APTIKNAS) and the Indonesian Association for Digitalization and Cybersecurity (ADIGSI).

As a strategic platform uniting government bodies, industry players, digital communities, and young innovators, NCC 2025 aims to strengthen the nation’s cyber resilience.

“NCC’s primary goal is to enhance Indonesia’s cybersecurity system,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.

“We are ready to collaborate and ensure NCC 2025 and its planning process receive optimal support,” he added.

The minister highlighted that cybersecurity plays a vital role in developing and improving the competitiveness of creative economy enterprises, which increasingly rely on digital technology and platforms.

Investment in the digital applications subsector continues to grow. Data from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) projects that investment in this area could reach Rp15.49 trillion (approximately US$934.2 million) in 2025.

“Digital transformation is not merely adaptation, but a part of national economic evolution that starts from the regions,” Harsya said.

He further emphasized the need to update Indonesia’s Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI) to include emerging sectors such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

“Rapid economic growth must be balanced with cybersecurity readiness and strength. Technology developed by the nation’s own talents must be facilitated and enhanced,” the minister noted.

Carrying the theme “Building Data Security Readiness Towards Economic Resilience,” NCC 2025 will feature conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and serve as a networking and collaboration hub for stakeholders in the digital and creative economy sectors.
