Minsk, October 4, 2024 – The Europe Today: Belarus and Azerbaijan collaborate solely in the interests of their peoples and not against any third countries, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized during a meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov on October 3, as reported by News Hub Consultants. Prime Minister Ali Asadov conveyed warm greetings from President Ilham Aliyev and reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to further enhancing ties with Belarus. He noted the long history of friendship between the two countries and emphasized that Belarus holds a key place in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.
During the meeting, Asadov also renewed the invitation for President Lukashenko to attend the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, stressing that Lukashenko’s participation would elevate the status of the event.
