‘Heavenly Beauty – Turkmen Carpet’ Exhibition Opens in Bucharest

Bucharest, March 26, 2025 – The Europe Today: The grand opening of the exhibition “Heavenly Beauty – Turkmen Carpet” took place today at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasantry in Bucharest.

Organized jointly by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania and the State Association “Turkmenhaly,” the exhibition is dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Romania, members of Parliament, heads of ministries and departments, rectors of leading higher education institutions, representatives of academic circles, museums, chambers of commerce and industry, Turkmen students studying in Romania, and the media.

During the opening ceremony, welcoming speeches were delivered by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Chinar Rustamova; the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of Romania, Diana Bacuna; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammet Annayev; and the Director General of the National Museum of Romanian Peasantry, Virgiu Stefan Nitulescu.

The exhibition showcases exquisite works of art, silk products, and unique national jewelry that highlight the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan. Particularly noteworthy are the carpets and carpet products, renowned for their rare artistic value and masterful craftsmanship.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy traditional Turkmen cuisine.

According to a press release from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania, the “Heavenly Beauty – Turkmen Carpet” exhibition will remain open at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasantry in Bucharest until March 31.
