Ashgabat, July 07, 2025 – The Europe Today: The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conducted an aerial inspection of the capital’s medical infrastructure during a helicopter flight over Ashgabat. The visit, aimed at assessing the condition and development of healthcare institutions, was reported on Monday by the national daily Neutral Turkmenistan.
During the aerial tour, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov examined a series of modern, well-equipped medical centers located in the southern part of the city. These facilities, built in accordance with high international standards, are designed to provide the population with high-quality and accessible medical services.
The National Leader underscored the vital importance of ensuring that healthcare institutions are outfitted with modern equipment and technologies that meet the demands of the time. He also emphasized the necessity for all construction and renovation projects to strictly adhere to international standards in line with the capital’s urban development program.
One of the highlights of the inspection was the overflight of the Myrat Garryev State Medical University’s hospital complex. Here, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov issued specific recommendations regarding the reconstruction of the institution to improve its operational efficiency and infrastructure.
Throughout the flight, the National Leader also reviewed the state of medical facilities across the capital and the landscaping of adjacent territories. It was particularly noted that recently inaugurated institutions in the city center, along with the nearly completed Dentistry Center, harmoniously integrate with Ashgabat’s overall architectural design.
Special attention was given to the complex of healthcare centers in the northern part of the city. Medical institutions located in the Choganly residential complex were observed to be fully aligned with international standards in both medical equipment and services provided to citizens.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of prioritizing the quality and timely implementation of all works related to social infrastructure. He also stressed the necessity of creating favorable conditions for a comfortable and fulfilling life for the people of Turkmenistan.
The helicopter subsequently flew over the northeastern sector of the capital before returning to its landing site. According to Neutral Turkmenistan, the working visit and the guidance provided during the inspection are expected to serve as a significant impetus for the continued socio-economic progress of the nation.
