Baku, December 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, met with Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan, Houssam-Eldine Reda, to discuss the ongoing development of bilateral relations and interparliamentary cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides welcomed the current level of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt, emphasizing the important role and support of their respective heads of state in advancing bilateral ties.
Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the productive collaboration between the Milli Majlis and both chambers of the Egyptian Parliament, noting that reciprocal visits by parliamentary delegations and active engagement within friendship groups have significantly strengthened cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Houssam-Eldine Reda reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to further enhancing interparliamentary collaboration, as well as expanding cooperation across other key areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also covered additional topics of shared concern, reflecting the commitment of both sides to maintain and deepen their partnership.
