Azerbaijan Facilitates Humanitarian and Energy Supplies to Armenia, Says President Ilham Aliyev

Baku, May 4, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said that 28,000 tons of cargo have been delivered to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory, underscoring emerging developments in regional connectivity following recent normalization steps.

Addressing the 8th European Political Community Summit via video link, President Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan has also, for the first time, begun supplying oil products to Armenia, including gasoline and diesel.

He noted that so far, around 12,000 tons of oil products have been exported to Armenia, describing it as a significant development in bilateral and regional relations.

The president highlighted these measures as part of broader post-conflict adjustments, reflecting growing economic interaction following recent progress in peace efforts between the two countries.
