Baku, June 25, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan Air Force personnel are taking part in the ongoing Anatolian Eagle-2026 International Tactical Flight Exercise being held at an airbase in Konya, Türkiye, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.
The multinational exercise involves flight and technical personnel from the Azerbaijan Air Force, as well as Su-25 attack aircraft, and aims to enhance operational coordination among participating nations.
At the outset of the exercise, participants received comprehensive briefings covering the objectives of the training, the operational area, mission requirements for each stage of the exercise, and safety procedures.
According to the ministry, Azerbaijani military pilots have successfully completed all assigned tasks in line with the training plan, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and operational readiness throughout the exercise.
The Anatolian Eagle exercise serves as an important platform for strengthening cooperation among the air forces of participating countries and improving interoperability during joint operations. It also provides opportunities for military personnel to exchange professional knowledge, share operational experience, and enhance tactical capabilities in a multinational environment.
Defense officials noted that the primary goals of the exercise include expanding military cooperation, facilitating the exchange of expertise among air force personnel, and reinforcing the ability of participating nations to conduct coordinated operations effectively.
The Anatolian Eagle series is regarded as one of the region’s leading international air combat training exercises, bringing together air force units from various countries to conduct advanced tactical training and strengthen defense partnerships.
