The 46-year-old Belgrade native, in his third season with the Warriors, played a crucial role in the team’s 2022 NBA championship victory.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expressed profound sorrow, stating, “We are absolutely devastated by Dejan’s sudden passing. This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him.”

Milojevic was rushed to a Salt Lake City hospital on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack at a private team dinner. Despite intensive life-saving efforts, he succumbed to the medical emergency on Wednesday morning.
In response to the tragedy, the NBA announced the postponement of the Warriors’ scheduled game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, citing a “medical emergency in the Warriors family.” A makeup date for the postponed game will be announced in due course.
