Baku, August 17, 2024, The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has announced the successful completion of a tactical-special exercise by its Air Defense Units, conducted as part of the 2024 training plan. The exercise, detailed by the Ministry, was aimed at enhancing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills of military personnel while ensuring the high combat readiness of air defense units.
During the exercise, the combat crews operating the S-300 Favorit anti-aircraft missile complexes were tasked with bringing their equipment to a combat-ready state. The units executed a series of maneuvers including marching to designated position areas, moving to starting positions, and carrying out tasks related to area preparation and concealment.
The drill focused on critical tasks such as protecting important facilities from hypothetical air attacks and repelling simulated enemy rocket assaults. These operations were successfully accomplished, demonstrating the effectiveness of the units’ training and their ability to respond to potential threats.
