Tajik Prime Minister Highlights Investment Opportunities at Tashkent International Investment Forum

Dushanbe, June 17, 2026 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda participated and delivered a speech at the Tashkent International Investment Forum during his working visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on June 17.

Addressing the forum, the Prime Minister described the event as an important platform for strengthening cooperation in business and investment, emphasizing that joint efforts are focused on creating a favorable environment for sustainable economic growth, interregional partnership, and new investment opportunities.

Rasulzoda noted the steady expansion of economic ties between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, stating that more than 110 enterprises with Uzbek capital are currently operating in Tajikistan. At the same time, the number of active companies with Tajik investment in Uzbekistan has exceeded 400.

Presenting Tajikistan’s favorable investment climate, the Prime Minister highlighted a range of measures implemented by the government, including tax and customs incentives, the establishment of free economic zones, continuous support for the private sector, the introduction of modern technologies, and increased industrial production. These initiatives, he said, have contributed significantly to the country’s socio-economic development.

The Prime Minister further noted that Tajikistan attracted nearly $7 billion in foreign investment in 2025, representing a 35 percent increase compared to 2024. He added that 82 investment projects are currently being implemented across the country.

Rasulzoda reaffirmed Tajikistan’s readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with international financial institutions, investors, and the global business community, stressing the country’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and attractive investment environment.
