Astana, November 11, 2025 – The Europe Today: Kazakhstan’s economy expanded by 6.4% year-on-year in the January–October 2025 period, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Bureau, the Government reported on Monday.
The country’s robust growth was supported by strong performance in both commodity production and services, which rose 8.2% and 5.3%, respectively.
The manufacturing sector played a key role in sustaining momentum, expanding 7.3% on an annualized basis and contributing more than 30% to overall economic growth.
Industrial production climbed 5.8% year-on-year in October, reflecting gains across key industries such as mechanical engineering, chemicals, food processing, oil refining, metallurgy, and building materials manufacturing.
The construction sector also showed continued dynamism, underpinned by the implementation of major infrastructure projects. The total volume of construction work rose 15.1%, compared to 14.9% recorded in the January–September period.
Agriculture maintained steady growth, with gross output up 5.4%, marking a 1 percentage point increase from the previous period.
The trade sector registered a solid 9% year-on-year expansion, reflecting sustained consumer demand and higher business activity across the domestic market.
Meanwhile, the transport sector posted one of the highest growth rates, with the volume of transport services surging by 20.7%, driven by rising cargo and passenger traffic across all modes of transport.
The data reflects Kazakhstan’s continued economic resilience and diversification efforts, supported by strong industrial performance, infrastructure investment, and expanding trade and logistics activity.
