Kyiv, February 10, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ukraine’s state-owned energy company Naftogaz has reported damage to its production facilities following Russian strikes for the second consecutive day, according to media reports.
Naftogaz Chief Executive Officer Sergii Koretskyi said the latest attacks targeted critical infrastructure in Poltava and Sumy regions. He added that facilities in the Poltava region were struck again after having already been hit a day earlier.
Koretskyi noted that the most recent incidents have brought the total number of attacks on Naftogaz infrastructure to 20 since the beginning of the year, underscoring growing pressure on Ukraine’s energy sector amid ongoing hostilities.
The strikes come as Russia continues its military campaign against Ukraine, with energy infrastructure remaining a frequent target, raising concerns over supply stability and broader economic impacts.
