Cholpon-Ata, July 31, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in the city of Cholpon-Ata on Thursday to participate in the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
Upon his arrival at Issyk-Kul International Airport, President Rahmon was warmly welcomed by Adylbek Kasymaliev, who also serves as Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, along with other senior Kyrgyz officials.
In honor of the distinguished guest, the airport was decorated with the national flags of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, while a guard of honor was lined up to accord the Tajik President an official ceremonial welcome.
The informal consultative meeting is expected to bring together the leaders of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan to discuss regional cooperation, economic integration, connectivity, and other issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening partnership and promoting sustainable development across the region.
