Tajikistan Launches National Selection for CIS International Creative Competition on Right to Health

Dushanbe, August 04, 2026 – The Europe Today: Tajikistan has announced the launch of the national selection process for the International Creative Competition “Right to Health”, being organized within the framework of the Year of Health Protection (2026) in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, the first meeting of the national organizing commission was held on July 31 to discuss preparations for the competition.

The initiative aims to promote healthy lifestyles, raise awareness of the right to health, encourage youth participation in health-related issues, and showcase Tajikistan’s achievements in the healthcare sector at the international level.

The competition will be held in four categories: Best Essay, Best Video Report, Best Photograph, and Best Drawing. It is open to children and young people in two age groups—participants up to the age of 14 and those aged 14 and above.

In accordance with the competition regulations, creative works may be submitted in Tajik or Russian, with each participant permitted to submit up to two entries in each category.

The best entries selected at the national level will represent Tajikistan in the international stage of the competition organized under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Officials said the competition reflects the country’s commitment to promoting public health awareness, fostering creativity among young people, and strengthening international cooperation in advancing the right to health across the CIS region.
