Chinese Communist Party Delegation Engages in Bilateral Talks with Vietnam

Hanoi, May 13, 2024, The Europe Today: Zhao Shitong, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a delegation from the CPC on a visit to Vietnam from May 12 to 13, at the gracious invitation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). This significant diplomatic engagement underscores the enduring bond between the two fraternal parties and their commitment to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

During the visit, Assistant Minister Zhao held constructive discussions with Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations. These deliberations aimed at strengthening party-to-party relations and enhancing strategic communication between China and Vietnam.

The Chinese delegation also engaged in substantive talks with officials from the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education, as well as the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.
