Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Honored with Biduwanita Negara Award at National Arts Award 2024

Petaling Jaya, November 14, 2024 – The Europe Today: Renowned Malaysian singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has been honored with the prestigious Biduwanita Negara award at the National Arts Award 2024 ceremony held on Wednesday (Nov 13) in Kuala Lumpur. Expressing deep gratitude, Siti, 45, reflected on her decades-long journey in the arts and paid tribute to her late father, Tarudin Ismail, who affectionately called her a “jasmine flower.”

Speaking on the milestone, Siti said, “I always remind myself that every success and all the support have been the backbone of my career over the last 29 years.” Born in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, Siti emphasized that the award serves not just as recognition of her personal achievements but as a symbol of appreciation for everyone in the arts who uphold and celebrate Malaysia’s rich traditions.

Siti conveyed heartfelt thanks to the government, particularly the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and the Communication Ministry, for recognizing her contributions. “I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all, especially my husband, children, mother, late father, family members, management, and staff,” she added, acknowledging the unwavering support system that has fueled her success.

The celebrated singer also paid tribute to the numerous recording companies, producers, composers, and lyricists who played an integral role in her music career, stating, “Arts connect and unite all of us, regardless of religion, language, or country.”

Siti Nurhaliza’s manager, Rozi, previously shared images of the singer receiving the honor, showcasing the jubilant moment. The ceremony took place during the Anugerah Seni Negara 2024, a grand event celebrating Malaysia’s artistic talents.
