Astana, January 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed into law the Law of Kazakhstan on Banks and Banking Activities, the Akorda press service reported. The full text of the law has been published in the country’s printed media.
In addition, the Head of State approved the Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts on the Development and Regulation of the Financial Market, Communications, and Bankruptcy. The text of this law has also been made publicly available in printed media.
These legislative measures are aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s banking sector, enhancing the regulation of the financial market, and improving legal frameworks in communications and bankruptcy management.
