Dushanbe

Dushanbe, July 13, 2026 – The Europe Today: The Culture Day of Dusti and Nosiri Khusrav districts was celebrated in a festive atmosphere at Nizomiddin Alisher Navoi Park in Dushanbe on Sunday, showcasing the achievements made by the two districts during Tajikistan’s years of independence.

The event brought together government officials, guests, and residents of the capital, who were introduced to the social, economic, and cultural progress achieved by the districts while enjoying a vibrant programme of exhibitions and cultural performances.

Speakers at the event highlighted that, under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan’s remote regions have made steady progress in development, attributing their advancement to the country’s independence and ongoing national development policies.

Visitors explored exhibitions featuring agricultural products, traditional handicrafts, national cuisine, and a variety of cultural and entertainment performances reflecting the rich heritage and traditions of the two districts.

All town and village communities from Dusti and Nosiri Khusrav participated in the exhibition and sale, setting up numerous stalls displaying locally produced goods. Artisans also presented a wide range of handmade products, demonstrating the craftsmanship and cultural traditions of their communities.

The exhibition offered essential food items, including meat, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, cucumbers, apricots, eggs, watermelons, melons, honey, apples, peaches, cherries, and other agricultural products at prices lower than prevailing market rates, attracting significant interest from residents of the capital.

Officials also announced that, in preparation for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence, a total of 269 projects and facilities of various types have been completed in Dusti District, exceeding the implementation target by achieving 100.7 percent of the planned programme.

Dusti District was highlighted as one of Tajikistan’s key agricultural regions, with its farmers making a significant contribution not only to the country’s food security but also to the export of agricultural products, further strengthening the national economy.
