Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 Sees Signing of Cooperation Documents with Foreign Companies

Ashgabat, October 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: A number of agreements and memoranda providing for cooperation between Turkmenistan’s government agencies and foreign companies across various sectors were signed on the sidelines of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2026), according to Business Turkmenistan.

On the first day of the forum, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and South Korean company OnU H&C signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.

A separate memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Rail Transport of Turkmenistan and Chinese company CSCEC International Construction Co., Ltd., establishing a framework for cooperation in the railway sector.

The State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Dutch companies Damen Workboats B.V. and Liamol Trading GmbH.

The document provides for cooperation in modernizing water management systems, dredging water bodies, and maintaining and upgrading the country’s fleet of auxiliary vessels.

As part of the forum, the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa and Chinese company Tianjin Bohua Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at supporting the further development of Turkmenistan’s chemical industry.

Another memorandum was signed between AOOT Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant and Damen Technical Cooperation B.V. and Liamol Trading GmbH.

The agreement envisages strategic cooperation in Turkmenistan during 2026–2036 in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine technologies and the development of local manufacturing capabilities.

In the oil and gas sector, the State Concern Türkmennebit and German company Hybrid Innovation GmbH signed a contract for the design and construction of a pallet manufacturing facility at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

Meanwhile, the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa and the business entity Türkmen enjam signed agreements aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the Tejenkarbamid plant.

The signing of the documents reflects Turkmenistan’s efforts to expand international investment and technological cooperation across key sectors of the national economy and to attract foreign expertise and investment for industrial development.
