Dushanbe, August 6, 2026 – The Europe Today: Tajikistan’s State Unitary Enterprise Tajikaeronavigatsiya has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the National Strategy for Enhancing the Role of Women in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2030, highlighting its importance in promoting women’s professional development, leadership opportunities, and greater participation in the country’s civil aviation sector.
The commitment was emphasized during a meeting held at Tajikaeronavigatsiya as part of the practical implementation of the national strategy, according to the enterprise.
The event brought together women employees of the organization, who exchanged views on effective approaches to implementing the strategy and strengthening the role of women in society and the workplace.
Participants noted that the National Strategy aims to enhance the status of women in society, increase their participation in political, economic and social life, promote gender equality and equal rights for women and men, encourage the appointment of women to leadership positions, and create broader opportunities for education, professional training and capacity building for women and girls.
Officials also highlighted that Tajikaeronavigatsiya has adopted a dedicated action plan to implement the National Strategy for 2021–2030 and has taken concrete measures to ensure its timely and effective execution.
According to the enterprise, the implementation of the strategy is expected to strengthen the role and status of women within the organization by supporting professional development, improving qualifications, and encouraging greater participation of young female specialists in the aviation sector.
The initiative also seeks to attract more women to the fields of air navigation and civil aviation while reinforcing their contribution to the sustainable development and modernization of Tajikistan’s aviation industry.
The meeting reaffirmed Tajikaeronavigatsiya’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable working environment in line with the national strategy and the country’s broader efforts to promote women’s empowerment and gender equality.
